The wood curls were flying at The Woodworking Show in Columbus, Ohio.  The Woodworking Shows have established a devoted following by providing woodworkers with an outlet for their passion through tools, education and a unique sense of community by hosting hands-on trade shows for woodworkers across the United States.

Bradley McCalister operates on the premise of turning trees into treasures. With his turning skills, Bradley was on hand at the Easy Wood Tool’s booth.  Bradley is a woodworker who likes to reclaim wood from a landfill, burn pile or from homes and buildings that would otherwise be torn down and thrown away.   He then turns these pieces into works of art and furnishings for people to enjoy for years to come.  You may view additional handcrafted works and his biography on his website at http://bradleyrm.com.

Demoing the Easy Wood Finisher on this spalted ambrosia maple block was the project of the afternoon for a packed house of onlookers during the class.

From a bark covered rough aged log to revealing the natural beauty of the wood,  Bradley gradually turned this into a bowl shape using only one tool, the Easy Wood Finisher, while explaining how you can do this in your shop.
