What the experts are saying

Micro Jig BladeClean tool kit with cleaning brush and abrasive pads for saw blade maintenance

“A clean blade in seconds. A magnetic handle attaches to the blade, letting you spin it against the abrasive pad at the bottom of the tub. A few spins on each side will clean off the toughest resin and gunk.” - Fine Woodworking

"Rotating the blade against the pad in your preferred cleaner removes pitch and burned-on deposits in a single motion, thereby providing quick maintenance without the danger of handling sharp edges or exposing your hands to strong chemicals." - Woodworkers Journal

"Suggestions for cleaning saw blades and router bits range from not cleaning at all to elaborate systems with caustic chemicals like oven cleaner. The new BladeClean system from MicroJig aims to make quick work of this chore." - Woodworking Network

Thoughtfully designed to save you time!

From blade handling to storage, we thought of everything. Cleaning saw blades and router bits used to take a long time, and part of that time was set up. The BLADECLEAN System has everything you need, all in one place. Just pour in your favorite household cleaner, and store it away for later use. Next time you need to clean a blade or a bit, you're already set up.

Dirty blade, dirty cut.

When your saw blade isn't cutting as well as it used to, odds are, it's not dull - it's dirty. Blades are often unnecessarily sent out for sharpening when all they need is a good cleaning.

Safe blade handling

The included magnetic handle allows you to move and clean saw blades without any bare hand contact. No dangerous chemicals are required - just standard household cleaner. Heck, even plain ol' tap water will do the trick!

With the magnetic handle, just a half rotation on the BLADECLEAN Pad cleans every tooth on one side of the blade, all at once.

Little details that make all the difference

The BLADECLEAN will work on sawblades from 7-1/4" to 12" in diameter. The slightly sloped ribs under the BLADECLEAN Pad ensure that the majority of contact is on the carbide rather than the body of the blade, no matter the size.

Clean router bits in record time

The BLADECLEAN comes with a custom-designed, heavy-duty mandrel and 6 aluminum oxide discs for cleaning router bits, chisels, hand planes, and other small metal parts in the shop or restoring old hardware. The router bit cleaning well is nested in the main cleaning well, and it features a foam router bit holder for soaking 1/4", 1/2", 8mm, and 12mm shank router bits prior to cleaning.

Less time cleaning, more time building

Let's look at the traditional way to clean saw blades - a bucket (or similar container) and a wire brush. How long does that take? Our polling revealed that woodworkers spend an average of 10-15 minutes per blade. Some people set aside a whole afternoon just to clean all the blades in their shop. Thankfully, those days are over. You're welcome.
