Ellen's Chair

When we asked Ellen Fure Smith from Little Bare Furniture to make us one of her carved chairs, we knew we were going to get something cool. What the Ohio-based furniture maker created for us is truly a work of art. Check out Ellen's video that chronicles the building of her purpleheart and plywood creation below.

Ellen Fure Smith, a graduate of Marshall University, discovered her love for making furniture while studying for her Fine Arts degree. Smith's pieces often have an organic quality, and they display her love of carving. You can check out more of her work by following her Instagram account. @littlebarefurniture

We interviewed Ellen back in 2017 about how she balances her passion for being in the shop with her full family life. Check it out here.

"Motherhood is my life force, my inspiration, and my true calling. Furniture is my passion and talent."
