Minimum Age 18. Small boxes have a wide variety of uses and make excellent gifts. They can be carved, accented with inlay or highly figured woods and decoratively changed with the router. In this class you will make a box using mitered joints and spline construction.
Minimum Age 18 with Parent. Pocket Knife. From hunting and camping to preparing a simple meal, a good knife is indispensable. Learn the ins and outs of making your own knife handles. Tuition includes all supplies needed to create your own knife. Stan will cover sizing, shaping, fastening, finishing and polishing. You'll walk out of class with a sharp treasure!
Minimum Age 18. If you want to learn how to turn bowls on the lathe, this class is for you. Ray will focus on the fingernail bowl gouge as the primary tool and will teach you how to complete your piece with a perfect bottom. He will also explain the various methods for mounting your blank on the lathe and discuss wall thickness, design and turning speed.
