Build A Shaker-Style End Table

Our woodworking beginnings class introduces you to preparing wood to completing a nice little stool using dowel pins. The Shaker-Style End Table repeats the prep step and introduces you to Kreg jig joinery, tapering legs, and how to handle wood expansion. This class takes you through all the prep steps and introduces you to another design feature-bottom tapering the top to give another dimension to the overall look of the table. Like our other beginning classes, this is a stand-alone class. You can be a true beginner and still end up with a beautiful piece of furniture! This table is made out of solid cherry and is sized to act as an end table that will beautifully compliment the sofa table that many of you have built in our previous classes. If you have the sofa table, don't miss this opportunity to add to your décor, while taking your woodworking to the next level.

"Date Night" Cutting Board

Friday, March 27, 2026, 6 PM - 9 PM

The price for this class is per couple. This date night class is a great way for you and your partner to learn to make your own cutting board (approximately 8” x 16”). In this class, we will start with pre-cut wood strips of exotic woods. We will also discuss the techniques of cutting the wood to specific sizes needed for the cutting board. The process will introduce you to the thickness planer and orbital sander. The cutting board will be finished with food safe mineral oil which will bring out the beauty of the wood. While the glue dries, we will have pizza to enjoy so bring your non-alcoholic beverage and make this a date night to remember.

Introduction To Woodturning

Saturday, March 28, 2026, 10 AM - 4 PM

This is a hands-on class, where you will learn most aspects of wood turning. You will be introduced to every tool from the roughing gouge to the skew. You'll be shown the proper use of each from presentation to final follow-through. In addition to the use of these tools, you will be taught how to sharpen each one for maximum cutting. This class will also show you some techniques to get the most out of your tools. There will also be discussion on other aspects of wood turning, such as finishing and turning green wood, as opposed to dry wood. This class will concentrate on conventional turning tools.
