Intro to cabinet making

This much requested class is back into reality. Professional cabinet maker Eric Stone will take you through the critical steps of creating beautiful cabinetry. You will learn the necessary tools and equipment to most cabinet projects, including design setup, cabinet components, materials including plywood and hardwood, cut preparation including measurements, cut list for cabinet parts, carcass assembly, face frame assembly, drawer and door construction, final assembly and finishing. Sign up soon as there are only 10 open spots for the class and it usually fills up fast.

After years of waiting, our hands on cabinet class is finally here! In the 102 class you will build a Euro-style base cabinet carcass. This class is designed to get you familiar with the most basic construction of the cabinet itself. Plywood is included in the cost of the class and full sheets will be broken down by the students. In the following class, your cabinet will evolve with the door and drawer to provide a fully functional cabinet! This is intended to be class 2 of a 3 part series.

Intro to Kumiko

with Wayne Peterson

Kumiko is a Japanese woodworking art form involving decorative patterns with thin strips of wood. Wayne Peterson will take you through the process of creating a traditional Japanese panel using hand tools. You will create the most popular pattern, the Asa-no-ha, opening the possibility of additional patterns to enhance your woodworking projects! Minimum class size of 3 people. Tools required: 3/4 or 1" SHARP chisel, small mallet, #2 square drive screwdriver.
